Our association works every year, throughout the year, on a Lacan seminar. This year, we are studying the seminar on The Psychoanalytic Act and several groups are therefore reading it, in France and in the other countries where our members work.
We wanted to consider a different approach, a linguistic difference, by offering this Study Day only in English, in order to continue to weave our working links, despite our distant cities, while keeping the same reference text.
What can we say about a failed act today? What constitutes an act between the analyst and the patient? What remains of the analyst after his act? This seminar will be an opportunity to question the psychoanalytic technique, based on the notion of act, as well as our relationship to language.
